We finally caught up with the Rally!

We'll be off to see the start shortly, it is only 16k from our hotel.

Yesterday we crossed Paso de Agua Negra, the highest pass between Chile and Argentina.  Think poorly maintained single lane Forest Service Road with more switch-backs that you can count while paying attention not to ride over the edge and you have a pretty good idea what it was like.

We rode a long time yesterday, 8 am to 9:30 pm, with a 4 hr border crossing (Props to the border folks for helping Jim who was NOT feeling well.)

Here are some pics of the days, since once again, I am in a hurry and don't have much time to type much.   The really hard charging is behind us.  I should have ample time tonight.
Parked in the hallway of our hotel last night.  It was fun riding them through the front door.  Had to ride up two steps with about 6 inches clearance on each side!

A little moto art on Paso de Agua Negra.

Looks flat on top, but it was NOT flat on the approach.

A small ruin at the last Argentine checkpoint.

Adobe building under construction on one of the few days with rain in Jachal.

Las Motos!

In Jachal they like their heros grumpy.

In Jachal.

Jachal.

Vincente and his wife.  Much more about them later.

Highways with fords, but not Fords.

Jim as road kill.

Small section of road.
